Beginning Children's Band
Update September 17, 2008
Today was the first session of band. We learned how music was like a recipe in that it was made up of different ingredients. Music is made up of sounds, rhythm and melody. We played rhythm games and the children were introduced to different types of instruments and the sounds they made. We had about 10 beautiful and energetic kids today whom are very excited to learn to play. On Monday we will be introducing them to the recorder and the concepts associated with reading music.
EVERYONE from K-3 is welcome to attend Beginning Band at any time during the school year.
Starting Monday, September 15 at 3:15 till 4:15 in Room D1 at the Ed Park we will start a new session of Beginning Band. Grades K-3rd grade are invited to attend this free after school program.
We will begin with the basics and work our way up...so everyone is welcome. Everyone can play music regardless of age or abilities. Please call Mr. Gray at 209-656-2050 Ext 5220 for more information.
