Your child has been invited to join the Delhi Unified Children’s Choir. It is our hope that through the exploration of music, art and special activities that your children will learn to mediate cross-cultural differences and become peacemakers. The children will learn how music and art express emotion, creates shared experiences, bridges differences, tells stories, produces beauty and enriches others.
Rehearsals will be held
weekly on Tuesday at the Delhi High School Music Building. (The D building) They will run from 3:15 to 4pm with a light snack provided. No experience is necessary just a willingness to learn and to grow. Grades 2nd through 6th are welcome to attend. Parent volunteers are desired and will be greatly appreciated. There is no cost to attend or participate in this program.
What your child will gain from being involved with the choir:
Singing in a chorus or playing an instrument is fun, but it also provides important skills like creative problem solving that can help lead to higher education and incomes as well as person fulfillment.
Music education gives children skills that will transfer over into their reading, their writing, and their math.
Music education helps to create a complete human being who is capable of leading a successful and productive life in a free society.
